Crazy Quilt Quarterly Magazine Is Now Available On Etsy

I've had a few sweet ladies tell me that they have a hard time ordering Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine through Magcloud.  For anyone who is more comfortable ordering through Etsy, the magazine is now available on both sites.  Here's the link to Kitty And Me on Etsy

It's also available at Magcloud so feel free to order from whichever site you're most comfortable with.

As I have time, I will make my Cross Stitch patterns available on Etsy too.

New Cross Stitch Patterns?

I received several nice comments on yesterdays post regarding my possibility of designing a few new cross stitch patterns.  I'm really liking primitive cross stitch these days but wanted to ask for you opinions.

If I were to do this, what would you like to see in the way of new patterns?  Please leave your comments.  I'm eager to hear from you.

In the meantime, this is one of my re-released cross stitch designs.  Aria For Christmas is available here.

Cross Stitch Finishes

I've been bouncing back and forth a little bit between Crazy Quilting and Counted Cross Stitch.  I've had a few patterns for awhile that I've been wanting to stitch and finally just decided to just do them so I can enjoy them!

This is an old Prairie Schooler design.  It was part of a sampler but I just wanted to do the little bowl of fruit.  I'll sew this into a door hanger.

This little patriotic piece is by Blackbird Designs.  I think it's one of their newer designs.  Not sure I'm going to frame this one or sew it into a pillow.  Maybe a door hanger although it's a little large for that. I still have to decide.

I'm really liking primitive cross stitch these days.  I used to do a lot of realistic cross stitch and when I was designing I did a lot of realistic designs but primitive cross stitch is so old fashioned looking and I love it!  Who knows, maybe I'll design a few old looking samplers!

Sweet Comment From a Crazy Quilt Quarterly Contributor

I just had to share this lovely compliment that I received from Darlene Kliewer (contributor) in regards to the special Holiday Issue of Crazy Quilt Quarterly magazine.

Oh this holiday magazine is loaded!  I am nearly out of ink so I ordered the hard copy and can't wait until it gets here.  This is just the best magazine issue yet--well---except for the one with my mermaid book of course!!!  :)

I love the stories as you know and the ideas and patterns and colors and just everything.  Thank you again.  I see my mom and me (photo) and get tears---and I wonder how your grandma's cookies didn't get stale until April!  Ha ha---

Darlene was sweet enough to give me permission to re-post her comment here.  Thank you Dar!

Crazy Memento Quilt Block #13

Block #13 features a little Avon Scarecrow Pin from the 1970's.  As I mentioned in a previous post, my mom sold Avon for many years so I have quite a few of these cute little pieces.

The daisy pin is vintage too.  Mom found it in her jewelry box and gave it to me.  The little rooster button near the bottom is new.  The rainbow button at the top right was from my friend Lula.  I guess with the scarecrow on here, I was kind of thinking Wizard Of Oz!
